Vega Properties (“Vega”), an affiliate of Vega Proprietary Holdings, is a private real estate investment group focused on the Chinese market. Vega was founded in 2006 and currently has offices in Beijing and Hong Kong.
Since 2006, Vega and its affiliate companies have owned or developed approximately twenty million square feet of mixed use real estate in China – including approximately ten million square feet of residential and ten million square feet of retail, office and hotel properties.
Vega’s retail portfolio is primarily focused on the high-end market with tenants including Gucci, Prada, Cartier, Armani, Ermenegildo Zegna and Chanel. The real estate portfolio is centered on core trophy downtown CBD locations within the metropolises of Beijing and Shanghai as well as the provinces of Fujian, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Guizhou and Liaoning.
Vega and its affiliates maintain corporate operations in over fifty cities in China.
In a separate joint venture started in 2008, Vega partnered with the Grosvenor Group, the private investment arm of the Duke of Westminster, and launched the Grosvenor Vega China Retail Fund ("CRF"), with committed capital of approximately US$275 million. CRF has attracted broad interest from an assortment of leading American and European limited partners including various national pension funds, reinsurance firms and family offices.
